Sacramento Open Review

The Sacramento Open was the last tournament of the year for the United Grappling Federation (UGF). The UGF is a new tournament organization owned by Mike Uhlinger. The UGF ran three tournaments in 2011. The Spring Sacramento Open, San Jose Open, and the Summer Sacramento Open.
Inside BJJ visited the Summer Sacramento Open. Our first impression was professionalism and quality in every detail from the mats, referees, score tables, banners and medals to the on time operation of the tournament. The UGF is an example of all of the good things about Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitions and was a welcome site to the California Jiu-Jitsu scene.
